Concordia Chamber Players New Concordia Chamber Players Concordia at The Princeton Festival History Concordia Chamber Players began in 1997 as "The New Hope Chamber Players". Since that time, the objective has been to work
as a bridge to unify the communities of New Hope, Lambertville and the surrounding areas through the intimacy inherent in the experience
of live chamber music. This was possible by the grace and vision of Michelle Djokic, a world class cellist who debuted at age 13 with the
Philadelphia Orchestra, and whose roots are in New Hope. Having played with the best, all over the world, Michelle can bring to New
Hope a caliber of music and musicians otherwise unavailable to us.
They come to New Hope because of their friendship with Michelle and their love to play in "chamber" with treasured colleagues. The 2009-2010 seadson will celebrate the 13th Anniversary of Concordia's playing in New Hope. Our regular season concerts this year will be in the elegant setting of Trinity Church in Solebury, PA, a short distance north of New Hope. The concert hall size allows us to continue providing free tickets for
school age children. Musicians Concordia has featured recently include Carmit Zori, Frank Huang and Yoon Kwon - violin, Robert Rinehart and Mark Holloway - viola, Anthony McGill and Todd Palmer - clarinet, Kenneth Cooper - harpsichord, Diane Walsh and Charles Abramovic - piano. The 2009-2010
season's roster include many old friends and some new faces. Please see The Players for complete biographies of the musicians. |
