Michelle
Djokic is the artistic director and inspiration of the Concordia
Chamber Players, and will play in both Spring Concerts 2000. “Djokic
is indisputable when playing melody. Her sense of delivery and
her mastery of technique have an instinctual rightness about
them.”, hailed a critic of the Denver Post. Ms. Djokic made
her debut with the Philadelphia Orchestra at the age of
thirteen. |

Violin

David Kim will play in
both Spring Concerts 2000, and will be featured in the Bach
Sonata # 2 for Solo Violin in the April 16 concert. Currently in his first
season as Concertmaster of the Philadelphia Orchestra, David Kim
was born in Carbondale, Illinois, started playing the violin at
the age of three, began studies with Dorothy DeLay at the age of
eight and later received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees
from the Juilliard School. |

Piano

Gail
Niwa will play in the February 13 Spring Concert 2000. Gail continues to thrill audiences as she did at the 1991 Gina
Bachauer International Piano Competition, where she became the
only woman ever to win the Gold Medal. She also captured two
additional awards, the Audience Prize and the Chamber Music
Prize. She made her New York recital debut at Alice Tully Hall
in October, 1991.

Baritone

Richard
Lalli will sing romantic songs with the Chamber Players in the February 13
Spring Concert 2000. Richard is a graduate of the Interlochen Arts Academy, Oberlin
Conservatory and Yale School of Music. He is an Associate Professor of Music at
Yale, where he has taught since 1982. Mr.
Lalli specializes in song repertoire of the nineteenth century, in early music
and in the performance of modern works.

Piano

William
Wolfram Will play piano in the April 16 Spring Concert 2000.
William has gained recognition as an artist who combines
powerful Romantic instincts with a truly formidable command of
the keyboard. A
former Silver Medallist at both the William Kapell and Naumburg
competitions. as well as Bronze Medallist at the Tchaikovsky
Competition in Moscow, Mr. Wolfram has drawn plaudits from
critics both here and abroad
for his musical integrity and compelling pianism. |

Viola

Choong-Jin Chang will
play in the April 16 Spring Concert 2000. A native of Seoul,
Korea, Choong-Jin Chang joined The Philadelphia Orchestra as
Associate Principal Viola in November 1994. He made his
performance debut as a violinist at the age of 12 with the Seoul
Philharmonic as winner of the Grand Prize in Korea's Yook Young
National Competition |
