Carmit Zori
Violin

Firmly established in her native Israel as an important
young musician, violinist Carmit Zori was chosen at age 13 by the America-Israel
Cultural Foundation to perform on the international television special
"Music from Jerusalem". Two years Inter, at the recommendation of
Alexander Schneider and Isaac Stern, she came to the United States to study at
the Curtis institute of Music, where her teachers included Ivan Galamian, Jaime
Laredo, and Arnold Steinhardt.

Robert Rinehart

Robert
Rinehart joined the New York Philharmonic's viola section in September 1992. Mr.
Rinehart has an extensive background in chamber music; as a founding member of
the Ridge String quartet, be toured extensively in Europe, Asia, Australia and
North America beginning in 1979. The quarter was featured on all of New York's
major chamber music series as well as the Spoleto, Schleswig-Holstein and
Helsinki festivals.

Michelle
Djokic is the artistic director and inspiration of the Concordia
Chamber Players, and will play in both Spring Concerts 2000. “Djokic
is indisputable when playing melody. Her sense of delivery and
her mastery of technique have an instinctual rightness about
them.”, hailed a critic of the Denver Post. Ms. Djokic made
her debut with the Philadelphia Orchestra at the age of
thirteen. |

powerful Romantic instincts with a truly formidable command of
the keyboard. A
former Silver Medallist at both the William Kapell and Naumburg
competitions. as well as Bronze Medallist at the Tchaikovsky
Competition in Moscow, Mr. Wolfram has drawn plaudits from
critics both here and abroad
for his musical integrity and compelling pianism. |
David Krakauer

Clarinetist David Krakauer exudes an emotionally raw yet genial presence,
baring a tireless spirit, humor and generosity. His best-selling classical and
Klezmer recordings further define his brilliant tone, virtuosity and
imagination. Krakauer is in demand worldwide as guest soloist with the finest chamber
music groups. This past season he collaborated with the Tokyo String Quartet,
the Eroica Trio, the Kronos Quartet, the Lark Quartet, the Mendelssohn String
Quartet and the Empire Brass Quintet.

Violinist Ani Kavafian is enjoying a prolific career as a soloist, recitalist, and chamber musician. She has performed with virtually all of America’s leading orchestras including the New York Philharmonic, the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Cleveland Orchestra, the Pittsburgh Symphony, and the Minnesota Orchestra. Her numerous solo recital engagements include performances at New York’s Carnegie Hall and Alice Tully, as well as in venues across the country. |

Cynthia Phelps, Violist, is Principal Violist with the
New York Philharmonic, where she has performed Berlioz’ Harold in Italy, the
Bartók Concerto for Viola, Richard Strauss' Don Quixote with cellist Yo-Yo Ma,
Concerto for String Quartet by Benjamin Lees, and a new work specially
commissioned for her and violist Rebecca Young by Sofia Gubaidulina.

Carter
Brey

Carter Brey was appointed Principal Cellist of the New
York Philharmonic in 1996. He rose to international attention in 1981 as a
prizewinner in the Rostropovich International Cello Competition. Subsequent
appearances with Rostropovich and the National Symphony Orchestra were
unanimously praised. The winner of the Gregor Piatigorsky Memorial Prize, Avery
Fisher Career Grant, the Young Concert Artists’ Michaels Award and other
honors, he also was the first musician to win the Arts Council of America’s
Performing Arts Prize.

Ilya
Grubert

Violinist Ilya Grubert first received
international acclaim when he was a prize winner at the Jean
Sibelius competition in Helsinki, Finland in 1975. He then went
on to receive the first prize at the International Paganini
competition in Genoa, Italy. This was followed by the first
prize and gold medal in the 1978 Tchaikovsky competition.

Toby Hoffman

Toby Hoffman has
performed with the Aspen Chamber Music Northwest, Marlboro, Seattle and
Salzburg Festivals. He has been soloist with the Philadelphia Orchestra,
Buffalo Philharmonic and Prague Chamber Orchestra among others. He is a
frequent guest of the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center and records
for RCA. |
